I had a hysterectomy July 28, 2020 because of severe pain from endometriosis and fibroids. It’s been 8 weeks and I’m still recovering and hurting from my surgery. I am so very looking forward to reporting that I am finally pain free one day SOON. I can say without a doubt though that I can tell I am getting better. As He always does God has carried me through this every step of the way. I can see and feel His presence.
I have been through a lot over the past 44 years. A Broken neck, a few codes from complications from injury (in the beginning), many surgeries. Major ones were bladder augmentation, gallbladder removed, put a shunt in my neck to fix a cyst against my spinal chord, a broken hip, hysterectomy from bad endometriosis) I’ve had autoimmune hemolytic anemia, MRSA, sepsis syndrome and other infections. When you write it all down it’s quite an overwhelming list, but God carried me through them all.
My mom now calls me Timex because I “take a licking and keep on ticking”. I know without a doubt though, that God was there for me healing me and getting me help right when I needed it through all of them. I am still here for a purpose because of that and I want to glorify God through that purpose.
I know a lot of you are going through a lot too, I want you to know that the Lord is there for you also! Guiding you and carrying you through all your trials as well. Trust that He’s there with you every step of the way even when it doesn’t feel like it, because He most definitely is. I just got back from a much needed vacation to St. Simons Island. Now that I’m back I want to make a daily effort to do everything I can to follow His lead and purpose! I look forward to walking (or technically in my case rolling) that wonderful journey with you. Thank you Lord, for showing me the way to live the best life I can with You by my side.
